John Farrand

It was a childhood that involved being force fed obscure foods, mostly cheese that led John to pack his nap-sack and head off to Wye College, University of London where he studied Agriculture and Food Industry Management.  What an oddly named course but one that embraced all aspects of the food industry from farming and production through to marketing and sales.  Spot on for the career that followed after a short stint in London doing non-food things. Since October 2002 John has worked with the Guild of Fine Food which has published the industry’s leading trade magazine Fine Food Digest for over 30 years
