  • Retail figures from Kantar World Panel show consumer demand for organic produce has increased 3.2 per cent in the 12 months to April 2015.
     
  • OF&G have organic licensees who have reported double digit growth, year on year for the past 6 years.
  • Recent OTB (Organic Trade Board) data indicates 48 per cent of households claim to have purchased organic food in the past 12 months and that 45 per cent of consumers intend to buy more organic produce in future.
     
  • Statistics from independent wholesale businesses who carry organic certification with OF&G report that organic food sales have held up well throughout the recession. 
     
  • The EU group of IFOAM (International Federation of Organic Agriculture Movements) published the group’s vision document, ahead of further talks with the European Commission on how to increase availability of organic food across the EU.
