Biography

Melange Chocolate arises from its humble beginnings in 2008 when artisan chocolatier Isabelle Alaya founded her Chocolate Shop and Café in the cosmopolitan area of Bellenden Road, Peckham. Since then, Isabelle has built upon her business, establishing a reputation making speciality award-winning hand-made chocolate bars and truffles characterised by an eclectic combination of spices, herbs and fruits. Her legendary and closely guarded recipe for Melange hot chocolate has even been rated top 10 in London and has been recommended by many newspapers. In 2013 Isabelle founded The Chocolate Museum in Brixton, out of her passionate desire to teach about quality chocolate and its history.
