Embracing Technology in Hospitality

When & Where

15:30 - 16:15, Monday 4th September 2017

Food for Thought

Bruce Wilson

The digital revolution is happening now in hospitality. Tech has moved on from apps like TripAdvisor – hotels and restaurants are now taking control and using tech in a much more pro-active way – for the benefit of their businesses and their customers.
Some may say there is no place for digital devices within restaurants – but just look at Instagram and the millions of guests taking photos of their meals every day.
Innovative technologies like “Flight” and “Yumpingo” are gaining traction. Consumers are increasingly comfortable with this kind of interaction, so things like e-bills, digital payments, interactive feedback services, and digital screens for kitchens - food orders and check backs are likely to become increasingly common.
