Weather: Continental weather. Cold winter and extremely hot and dry summer with important differences in temperature between day and night.

Soils: The great diversity of soils in which our vineyards are based: clayey, calcareous, loamy and sandy, are the basis on which the great wealth of nuances of our wines is sustained.

Winemaking: We only make this wine in exceptional vintages, with grapes from a selection of our own vineyards that are over 70 years old, located in Roa, in the heart of the DO Ribera del Duero, at an altitude of between 850 and 900 metres. Manual harvest carried out with the special care of our winegrowers. Alcoholic fermentation at a controlled temperature of 25 ºC. Maceration with the skins for 14 days. Aged for a period of 12 months in new French and American oak barrels. Minimum aging of 24 months in the bottle.

Tasting notes: Mulberries, spiced plums, black olives, porcini, cured meat and dried herbs on the nose. It’s fullbodied with firm, fine-grained tannins. Chewy and savory with a supple finish. - James Suckling, 90 points -
