Foie Royale is the ethical and sustainable alternative to foie gras. It was developed to create not only the flavour of foie gras, but also the natural texture in the mouth. Made from by-products of birds raised for their meat, healthy, normal-sized livers and fat are collected for the Foie Royale process to begin.
Ethical
The main goal of product development was to create a replacement to foie gras in which animal welfare took top priority.
Foie Royale is made from the healthy and normal-sized livers of birds that live an idyllic life on German farms, eliminating the need to raise animals engorging their livers.
Sustainable
Rather than the cruel force-feeding method, the birds are raised for their meat, fed naturally, and each has over 25m2 of space to roam, far beyond typical free-range standards. The birds’ livers and fat are both by-products of meat production and would otherwise not be used.
Diverse
An extremely versatile product that can be seared, roasted, poached or blitzed as an ingredient in many dishes to enhance flavour.
Convenient
The product requires no de-veining, soaking or requirement to remove the membrane. It is ready to use, involves no waste and has a long shelf life.
