Established in 1988 as ‘The Classic Cake’, and still wholly South Australian-owned, our cakes are handmade at our facility in the Adelaide Hills. No two cakes are exactly the same. In 1997, the name was changed to ‘Australian Celebration Cake’, and the tagline ‘A Taste of Australian Sunshine’ was added, alongside a new label. Since then, The Yummy Kitchen Co. has exported its uniquely Australian cakes to New Zealand, South Africa, the USA, Singapore, Malaysia, and the UAE. Our cakes are made with chunks of sunsoaked glacé and dried fruits steeped in brandy, mixed with mostly whole nuts, flour, sugar, eggs, and essences, then baked to perfection. The fruits and nuts make up over 70 per cent of the product and include apricots, pineapple, pears, peaches, cherries, sultanas, dates, cashews, Brazil nuts, and almonds. Each cake is baked, glazed, and decorated by hand, ensuring that no two cakes are exactly the same. Every bite offers a taste of sunshine.
