The FICT acts as the voice of the French charcuterie industry. Founded in 1924, FICT represents 300 companies (90% of which are SMEs), located across the whole of France. The sector employs 32,100 people, supports 135,000 jobs and generates €6.7 billion in annual sales, 7.8% of which in exports. 84% of the 1.13 million tonne production is pork-based, 13% from poultry and 5% other meats.
